 | Then get involved. Join TCA’s “PAL” team and deliver construction’s message. SWAT! SWAT! Your voice – construction’s voice can be heard. You can be a “PAL” to a local politician. That’s what “face to face” effective government lobbying is all about. It’s simple and easy. All you have to do is join TCA’s “PAL” team – TCA’s Political Action Lobby. |
TCA’s (Toronto Construction Association) PAL program, established by the Government Relations committee, aligns member volunteers with a designated politician – based on your office or home address - to provide an ongoing two-way communication regarding industry issues. Successful lobbying depends on the involvement and commitment of TCA members. Your job is to monitor local issues – issues that affect the construction industry positively or negatively. Your job is to keep TCA informed.
Your job will also be to visit your local politician as a “PAL” – as a TCA representative. From time to time issues arise that the industry must speak out with one voice. We provide you with all the background information on the issues and a “how to” make construction’s case. We’ll take care of all the organizational details. All you have to do is to communicate construction’s position to your political “PAL”. We understand you’re busy, but in today’s political environment – in the vast GTA area, we need volunteers to deliver construction’s message. We pledge to keep your time to a minimum. We pledge to give you all the ammunition and an easy method of communications, but in the end we need you to get out there – to get “in the face” of local politicians – of your “PAL”.
So, be a PAL to a local politician. Please take a moment to fill-out the on-line application form.
